• Allfathers Garden: Honor the sacred grounds of the Coalition founders in this explosive map, where powerful weapons catalyze fast and furious action at this COG landmark.
• Memorial: Set near the Eternal Flame, which pays tribute to the fallen soldiers on the battlefield, a hard-fought battle ensues at the Tomb of Unknowns. Putting their flank formation and evasive skills to the test, players will fight to control the Boomshot.

微软官方开始处理战争机器2（Gears of War 2）成就作弊者

今天微软官方宣布开始处理利用战争机器2（Gears of War 2） bug，以非正常方法故意获得成就的作弊者。在我之前的文章中已经提到了微软官方对于成就作弊者的惩罚措施。看来官方已经开始动真格的了。现在还不清楚对于其他游戏的成就作弊者是否也采取了行动。如果感兴趣的话你也可以看看这个作弊者的Gamercard，他的名字前面已被自动加上了“cheater”。

微软延长E74故障质保为3年

继著名的“三红”（RROD）故障之后，现在出现E74故障的X360正逐渐增多。微软经过调查发现此故障和“三红”问题有关，所以微软官方已经宣布延长E74故障的保修期限为3年。由于之前E74故障并没有纳入3年的质保期，所以对于已经付钱来修复此问题的用户微软也将于近期给予退款。

官方对于Xbox成就作弊者的惩罚措施

我们知道，现在有很多玩家可以利用一些“投机取巧”的方法来获得成就。这样一来就会使得众多的成就饭们失去了前进的动力，这当然是微软官方所不允许的。所以官方将采用以下惩罚性的措施来制止这种行为：

• 所有已获得成就清零
• 无法再次获得以前所取得的成就
• 个人信息里将被标上“作弊者”（cheater）的标签

而且官方强调这些惩罚将会是永久性的而且不能申诉！

利用htDig(ht://Dig)自建站内搜索引擎

ht://Dig通过程序(rundig)自动搜索整个网站并且把搜索到的所有关键词和相应链接存储到一个本地数据库中。如果网站更新，我们可以再次运行rundig即可更新数据库。更好的方法是把rundig加入crontab，这样就可以保持数据库的准确性和实时性。

而且ht://Dig还支持各种复杂的搜索选项，用户可以根据需要自己选择。搜索的结果将根据与关键词的相关度从高到低排列，保证用户最快的找到自己需要的页面。

另外别忘了ht://Dig是一个开源的免费软件，我们不仅可以修改它的模版以符合自己网站的风格，甚至如果需要还可以修改它的源代码。

从Xbox账户中删除信用卡信息

以前我们如果在Xbox Live上用信用卡购买游戏点数的话，系统将自动记录你的信用卡信息并不能删除。现在更新后的Xbox.com已经可以让我们删除自己的信用卡信息了：

1. 登录Xbox.com
2. 选择My Account
3. 选择Manage Payment Options
4. 在列出的信用卡后面可以选择“Edit”或“Remove”

看到一条促销消息，从4月1日起到4月30日止，只要在BIG W（在线购买也可以）购买XBOX 360（Pro或Arcade版本均可）即有机会参加总共30台42" Sanyo 等离子HD电视的抽奖活动。中奖率应该还是蛮高的，而且BIG W XBOX 360的售价也不贵（Pro: $376 Arcade: $288），最近打算买360的可以试试运气。

战争机器2（Gears of War 2）今日系统更新，新地图包价格公布800MSP

战争机器2（Gears of War 2）的第三次系统更新已经完成了微软的认证，即将于今日2 AM PST/5 AM EST提供下载（点击链接可查看本地时间）。

另外将于月底发布的Snowblind地图包价格也已经公布，和大多数人的预料一样为800MSP。

战争机器2（Gears of War 2）游戏第三次更新及新地图包公布

战争机器系列一直是我的最爱，虽然战争机器2的网络对战一直被人们所诟病，但是好在Epic一直在努力修复以前的错误，争取挽回流失的玩家。Epic官方已经公布了将于3月24日发布第三次游戏更新并在稍后的3月31日发布新的地图包Snowblind。下面是本次更新的细节：

改进

• 新的基于经验值的排名系统。新系统共分为100级，玩家只要完成比赛根据成绩就可获得相应的经验值，即使是输掉比赛。原来的Trueskill系统将被隐藏但仍将用于比赛前匹配和本方水平相近的队伍。
• 在一场比赛完成以前退出将损失经验值。
• 在公开赛中如果有人提前退出将加入“机器人”（bot）以保持队伍的平衡。如果bot没有设置为0的话此规则也将适用于私人赛。（本人不是很喜欢这个更新）
• 每个playlist将只包含2个游戏模式。平局将随机选择比赛模式。
• 在私人赛中加入地图自动循环，地图将以字母顺序循环。
• 在私人赛每一轮之间两队玩家将可以互相对话。
• 在公开及私人的持久战中保存每一轮的成绩以避免主机退出导致的数据丢失。
• 优化了对带宽的利用。
• 玩家匹配时将优先选择相同区域的玩家。
• 改进对“standby”的检测。“standby”就是指主机通过限制路由器等作弊手段造成其他玩家无法正常游戏的问题。
• 增加9个成就，总共250点。其中6个新成就将需要新的Snowblind地图包。这些成就是：
  • "Rookie Gear" (10 points): 在公开赛中达到等级5。
  • "Seasoned Gear" (20 points): 在公开赛中达到等级15。
  • "Battle-Tested Gear" (30 points): 在公开赛中达到等级25。
  • "Battle-Hardened Gear" (50 points): 在公开赛中达到等级50并在Snowblind地图包中的每一张地图上完成一场比赛。
  • "Veteran Gear" (75 points): 在公开赛中达到等级100并在Snowblind地图包中的每一张地图上赢得一场比赛。
  • "Never Eat Red Snow" (20 points): 在4张Snowblind地图中持久战各抵抗前10轮进攻。
  • "Icy Dead People" (25 points): 在任一Snowblind地图中持久战抵抗50轮进攻。
  • "Frigid Body Dynamics" (5 points): 在4张Snowblind地图中各完成一场多人游戏。
  • "The Weather Outside Is Lethal" (15 points): 在4张Snowblind地图中各赢得一场多人游戏。

Exploit Fixes

• A player could swap from a pistol to a two-handed weapon during a cover slide and then mantle greater distances.
• Players could kill themselves in Wingman to avoid giving their opponents more points. Now, suicides and team killing will reduce team score.
• A player holding a meatshield could melee through some walls.
• A player could equip a two-handed weapon with a shield using either the Boltok or the Gorgon pistol.
• A player could equip a two-handed weapon with a meatshield using either the Boltok or the Gorgon pistol.
• A player could prevent planted shields from being picked up by other players.
• Players could launch themselves into the air with a smoke grenade while mantling.

General Fixes

• An issue that caused chainsaw interruption when a player is shot to be less reliable in some body positions than in others.

在Perl中利用正则表达式（Regex）在字符串中获取信息的一个技巧

首先我们要知道一个基本知识，在Perl中我们可以用$1，$2，$3获取在字符串中第一个圆括号，第二个圆括号和第三个圆括号中的内容，以此类推。比如：

$example = "this is an example";
$example =~ /(\w+)W+(\w+)W+(\w+)W+(\w+)/;

这里$1，$2，$3和$4就分别获值为"this"，"is"，"an"及"example"。

下面回到正题，设想有这样一个问题，比如有这样一个链接（偷懒一下直接拷贝）：

我们想要获得blogID和postID怎么办？当然可以用上面的办法分别把blogID和postID赋值给$1和$2然后再处理。但是我们还有更好的方法：

$postID外面的圆括号一定不要忘记，否则我们就不能获得正确的数值。试想一下，如果不加$postID外面的圆括号会有什么结果？

Linux常用命令：tail，split, find 和 grep

google 一下"linux常用命令"，列了许多常用命令，可是记性不好，或者不是运用不是很熟练得情况下，很多问题未必知道如何解决，于是想到使用案例分析，既能解释常用命令，又能为某些常见的案例找到解决方式。

无论程序员或者管理员，经常需要查看log file，但大部分情况下，log file可能很大，而我们只需要查看最后的几行记录，用“tail Logfilename” 就是我们所需的，不过这个简单命令只能查看你打开文件前的最后几行记录，如果文件是实时更新的，就需在tail后 加上“－f”, 全行命令如下：
tail -f debug.log
(-f: output appended data as the file grows)
用以上命令会在你查看记录的时候在terminal上实时更新最新的最后几行记录。

对于查看log file，tail 命令的确很方便，因为一般log file只需要查看最后几笔记录。但若“tail”来查看别的大文件，就未必方便了。

例如有一个mysql的拷贝文件，拷贝数据库把整个server的所有数据库全弄到一个拷贝文件里了。很愚蠢的做法，但没办法，就有人这么省事。于是哪天不幸需要恢复数据的时候，就头疼了。因为不可能真的把所有的数据库恢复了，就算是可以，也需要n个小时，而我们所需的数据只是其中一个table。虽然知道要恢复的table名，但文件太大，linux（unix）上有限制不超过（2MB），大于这个文件就读不出来了。这个时候，单一的linux命令是无法让你找到所需的表名的，必须综合运用几个linux命令。

首先，将拷贝文件分成n个大小的2mb的文件：
split -b 2 m mysql.sql
(-b, --bytes=SIZE: put SIZE bytes per output file. SIZE may have a multiplier suffix: b for 512, k for 1K, m for 1 Meg.)
split会自动分离文件，并自动给每个文件取个文件名，所以无需计算要分成几个，分成什么文件名。

在split命令分完文件后，用查找命令找一下所需的文件：
find . -name "*.sql" | xargs grep 'tablename'
(-name pattern: search files with the given pattern.)
通过这个命令，就知道所需要的数据在那个文件，然后打开此文件查找。如果文件仍然太大，不方便，再重复以上步骤n次，就能找出所需数据。
“find“ 这个命令在linux下查找文件非常方便。比如你知道一个function “helloWorld()”，但不知道这在那个文件里面，便可通过find 查询：
find . -type f | xargs grep 'helloWorld()'
(-type f: search all files)
linux会把所有调用到这个function的文件全列出来。 甚至在你已知文件类型，便可用类似于上边的命令用定义文件名的类型来查找，例如
find . -name "*.txt" | xargs grep 'helloWorld()'

最后简单解释一下为什么在find后使用xargs。用find查询到结果可能有很多，甚至超过系统的限制导致出错。在find后加入xargs则可优化查询进程，令grep每次只获取一部分文件而不是全部，这样避免出现错误。

“三红”Xbox 360送修记录

可能是由于最近天天玩战争机器2的缘故，买了快两年半的360终于在昨晚“三红”了。虽然说我的360能坚持到现在已经很不容易了，但是既然还在三年的“三红”保修期内还是要让微软免费修理一下的。

360的质量之差是所有游戏主机中名列前茅的，所以微软专门提供了一个网站让用户在线注册自己的主机以便于今后的维修：https://service.xbox.com/。而且用户在维修过程中还可以登录这个网站查看主机的维修进度。

可惜不幸的是，当我使用我的主机序列号（Serial No）注册时居然一直报错，所以不得不忍受微软客服的印度口音，拨打电话：1800555741。下面我就记录一下本次送修的过程。

2009-03-02:晚上拨打微软客服1800555741报修，等待email通知...

2009-03-03:到早上还没有收到email所以又打了一个电话，终于收到了email。打印出email中附带的地址标签。查了一下360的大小（309x258x83mm，见下图）然后到邮局花A$2.85买了一个硬纸皮盒子(430x305x140mm，A3)。晚上回家把360打包，准备明天寄出。

2009-03-04:早上把360寄出，因为是收件方付钱，所以不用再花钱了，开始等待...

2009-03-06:晚上下班回家收到了微软的email，维修中心已收到360了，在网上查询状态也变为"Device received at service center"。其实维修中心就在我家附近，开车半个小时就到了囧

2009-03-12:今天忍不住上网查询了一下360的修理状态，发现已经修好了！又根据网页上提供的包裹Tracking Number，查到已经送到了我这里的邮局，希望明天就可以取回来！这是可以查询包裹位置的网址：http://www.ausposttracking.com.au/

2009-03-13:中午从邮局把360取回，包裹里附送了一张1个月的金会员卡。简单测试了一下，一切正常。

比较一下Class::DBI的search和Class::DBI::AbstractSearch的search_where

今天在工作中需要使用Class::DBI::AbstractSearch的search_where去做一个较复杂的查询，结果由于一个小问题，浪费了很多时间，所以在这里简单比较一下Class::DBI的search和Class::DBI::AbstractSearch的search_where，以免以后再犯类似的错误。

先看看Class::DBI的search。如果我们只需要做一个简单的查询，那么用Class::DBI的search就可以了，例如：

my %criteria = (column1 => $value1, column2=>$value2);
my $opts = {order_by=>'column1'};# hash reference
$class->search(%criteria, $opts);

$class可以理解为在数据库中我们要进行查询的那个表（table）；%criteria是进行查询的一个标准，即在select语句中where后面的那一部分；另外我们还要经常用到order by，注意这里我们传给search是一个hash引用（hash reference）$opts。

下面再看一个使用Class::DBI::AbstractSearch的例子：

my %criteria = (column1=>$value1, column2=>$value2, show_from=>\'<=now()', show_till=>\'>=now()');

$class->search_where(\%criteria, $opts);

不知道大家看出来两者的区别没有。首先我们要知道如果只是进行一个简单的查询那么search就可以应付，然而对于复杂一点的查询我们就需要使用search_where（比如这里的show_from=>\'<=now()',show_till=>\'>=now()'）。更重要的而且往往被忽略的是这里我们传递给search_where的是"\%criteria"（hash引用）而不是"%criteria"（hash）。我今天就在这里吃到了苦头。
